Arts Education at THCA The THCA values arts education for the enrichment of the lives of our students, audiences and community. Offering a broad range of educational presentations, the Thrasher-Horne Center for the Arts continues its commitment to enriching the lives of children and adults through its School Time and Family presentations. Storyteller Theatre with Tony Walsh Behind the Scenes Study Guides Support arts education in your community. Donate to the Gail and Roger Arrowsmith Education Enhancement Fund. Established in 2006, this unique fund helps off-set the cost of tickets and supports educational enhancement programs in both the visual arts galleries and theatres at the THCA. Donations are accepted in any amount and are tax-deductible. |

Arts Education at THCA Field Trips to the THCA
The THCA invites you to book your next field trip to one of the School Time presentations. Back by popular demand is the Kennedy Center Imagination on Tour with its new production based on Katie Couric's book The Brand New Kid. In 2008, junior high and high school students will enjoy Theatreworks' production of the William Shakespeare classic, Romeo and Juliet. For information or class reservations, call Box Office Manager Anna Zirbel at (904) 276-6753. Each class receives two complimentary tickets; payment is not necessary at the time of reservation. All School Time presentations are accompanied by educational resources that can be downloaded or requested when reservations are made. THCA Executive Director Tony Walsh brings stories and children's literature to life with his delightful reading and interpretation of both classic and contemporary tales. Reading the books that have inspired the productions in this season's School Time and Family presentations, storyteller Tony Walsh and his box of stories will visit Clay County classrooms. Fall 2007 - Storyteller Theatre presents The Brand New Kid by Katie Couric. Study guides available. Spring 2008 - Storyteller Theatre presents the classic tale Cinderella. Study guides available.
