Thrasher Horne Center Re-Opening Guidelines for Rentals

The health, safety and well-being of our event attendees, business partners, and staff members is our number one priority at the Thrasher Horne Center. During these challenging times of COVID-19 our focus is to provide rental space that meets our customer’s needs while also ensuring protocols are in place to help mitigate the likelihood of spreading COVID-19.  Our current plans and protocols for Phase 2 are outlined below, and we will build on these plans as new information becomes available to us.

General Protocol

  • All Thrasher Horne Center staff must wear appropriate PPE [Personal Protective Equipment] (to be provided as needed)
  • All guests must wear face masks/coverings in St John’s River State College campus buildings
  • All guests should follow the movement controls and floor markings to maintain proper social distancing and traffic flow.
  • All guests and staff should wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (people may use hand sanitizer located throughout our venue, however it is not a substitute for hand washing)
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • If restrooms are to be shared by multiple people every other stall and sink will be closed to enforce social distancing, and a cleaning attendant will be present to sanitize hourly (or more frequently as needed)
  • There will be no lobby entry and usage
  • No “buffet style” catering or platters of food will be allowed; no open containers or pitchers. All beverages and food items must be served in individual containers. Breaks should be staggered to reduce numbers present in break room.
  • Post Event sanitizing of all touch points, including but not limited to: seating, doors, bathrooms fixtures, microphones, headsets, belt packs, dance floor, tables, railings

Thursday, March 24, 2020 Update:

ALL THRASHER-HORNE CENTER PERFORMANCES, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE EVENTS HAVE BEEN POSTPONED OR CANCELLED THROUGH MAY 1, 2020 IN RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19.

As we continue to prioritize the health and well-being of our patrons, artists, staff, volunteers, and community at large, St. Johns River State College and the Thrasher-Horne Center have cancelled or postponed all public and private performances and events scheduled through Friday, May 1, 2020, in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

TICKET EXCHANGE, DONATION, AND REFUND INFORMATION

At this time, it is necessary to cancel and postpone performances. This action will be a loss for the Center, and donations are now more important than ever. Please consider donating your tickets instead of receiving a refund for a cancelled show. As the Thrasher-Horne Center is a not-for-profit venue, your tax-deductible donation for the amount of your tickets would go directly to the Thrasher-Horne Center Endowment. Our Endowment provides financial assistance for future programming at our venue.

The Thrasher-Horne Center is committed to providing the utmost flexibility for our patrons in light of these circumstances. Ticket holders for performances scheduled to take place between now and May 1, 2020, will receive an email or phone call from the Thrasher-Horne Center Ticket Office.

We strongly encourage you to consider donating your ticket back to the Thrasher-Horne Center. Our Ticket Office staff will be ready to accommodate individual patrons’ needs. Due to anticipated volume, we ask for your patience as we address each and every case.
