2016 at the Thrasher-Horne Center was definitely one for the record books! As we come to the close of another year, we would like to take a look back at the shows and artists we hosted over the past season, many of whom were visiting our area for the first time.
In the past year, the Thrasher-Horne celebrated over 320 days of use with more than 250 events between the Theatre and the Conference Center. In total, more than 50,000 people joined us for an event in 2016, with over 64% of those audience members visiting for their first time. And while we pride ourselves on being a venue for the Northeast Florida community, we also saw visitors from all over Florida, as well as 36 additional states and 5 additional countries!
The Thrasher-Horne Galleries were also busy this past year, hosting gorgeous shows by Susan Michel (Dancers In Motion), The Art Guild Of Orange Park (Music, Dance, Theatre), Jennifer Tallerico (Submerged), and David Ouellette (Watercolors and Oil). These three galleries are open not only during show nights, but also everyday during regular Box Office hours, providing a daily gallery experience for our college family and the surrounding community.
Without further adieu, here’s a chronological listing of the incredible shows we played host to this past year!
